What this role looks like

A Systems Administrator manages the server infrastructure, operating systems, and core services that your business depends on. They handle server provisioning, patch management, backup strategies, and user administration across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Some of What They Do Day to Day

• Provision, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access controls
• Implement and test backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Apply security patches and system updates on scheduled cycles
• Monitor system performance and resolve capacity issues
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Document system configurations and standard operating procedures
