What this role looks like

A Cybersecurity Analyst monitors, detects, and responds to security threats across your digital environment. They implement security controls, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure your organisation meets compliance requirements. In a landscape of growing cyber threats, they are your first line of defence.

Some of What They Do Day to Day

• Monitor security systems and analyse alerts for potential threats
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate response procedures
• Implement and manage security tools including SIEM and endpoint protection
• Develop and enforce security policies and awareness training
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, Essential Eight)
• Prepare security reports and risk assessments for leadership
