What this role looks like

A DevOps and Cloud Engineer builds and maintains the infrastructure your applications run on. They automate deployments, manage cloud environments, and implement monitoring and security practices that keep your systems reliable. When things need to scale or stay online, they are the ones making it happen.

Some of What They Do Day to Day

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging for production environments
• Manage container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement security best practices including access controls and encryption
• Optimise cloud costs and resource utilisation
• Support development teams with environment setup and troubleshooting
