Software Engineer (Backend)

What this role looks like

A Backend Software Engineer designs and builds the server-side logic, APIs, and database architecture behind your products. They handle everything from authentication and data processing to third-party integrations and system performance. Your application runs on the foundation they build.

Some of What They Do Day to Day

• Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Architect database schemas and manage data migrations
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security layers
• Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and external APIs
• Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Document API endpoints and system architecture for team reference
