• Assign accurate ICD and CPT codes based on clinical documentation
• Submit insurance claims and track them through to payment
• Follow up on denied or rejected claims and manage appeals
• Reconcile payments against submitted claims and patient accounts
• Audit coding accuracy and flag documentation gaps for providers
• Stay current on coding guideline updates and payer requirements
• Generate revenue cycle reports and identify collection opportunities
